I am currently serving as the Research Manager and Coordinator for the Digital Democracy Project, a team that brings together researchers at the University of Toronto’s Department of Political Science and the Centre for Social and Cultural Data Science at McGill University. We’re seeking to broaden the international evidence base on disinformation at a time where more and more (potentially harmful!) policy interventions are being formulated, and trying to produce a robust, reproducible study of Canadian’s media consumption and online habits during the 2019 Campaign. We’re also coordinating the Digital Ecosystem Research Challenge, which will be distributing grants and data to a host of international researchers looking at various digital issues as they pertain to the election.
